You may feel that you do not want to go to the time and trouble of making a claim for compensation or we may tell you that your chances of success do not justify proceeding further. However, you may still be able to make a formal complaint against the doctor or hospital. If that is the case, we will be able to explain to you the options you have to make a complaint and the procedure to do so. A complaint will not obtain compensation for you but it might persuade the doctor or hospital to change their procedures and ensure that other people do not suffer similar problems in the future.
